Akakioga Cosplay has been cosplaying since 2014, but has been in the convention scene since 2006. An anime, video game, and comics lover, her cosplays spread far and wide between all three genres, sharing that love in all the cosplays she creates. As a self taught cosplayer, she took her passions to specialize in craftsmanship focused cosplaying. Her main focuses became sewing, working with different textiles, EVA foam armor building, and creating unique wigs! With over 10 years of experience, Akakioga has become a staple within the community for both her drive to help teach, uplift, and keep the love of the cosplay craft alive.

​Akakioga has multiple years of experience guesting at conventions both domestic and internationally, providing her expertise in the form of judging costume contests, running panels, teaching workshops, and building a welcoming community. And with some notable collaborations and achievements under her belt, she's become a multifaceted powerhouse who will tackle any challenge she is given!

​Akakioga is a huge advocate for people of color in the cosplay world. By using her social media platforms to spread positive representation, she aspires to raise awareness and bring inclusivity into the cosplay community! When she first started cosplaying, she could count the number of other black cosplayers on both hands. So she strived to be someone another black/POC cosplayer to look up to, showing that they too can thrive in this community.
